INTERIOR DESIGN + PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We love being life changers and our Buckingham project was no exception.

This couple's main bathroom had seen better days and needed an update, but, like many of our clients, they wanted a space where they could age in place for many years to come, prolonging their time in their home. So, why this bathroom isn't barrier-free, we did incorporate some features that allow our clients to live in the space now AND in the future such as sleek grab bars in the shower, luxury shower fixtures that promote wellness, a floating vanity, a comfort-height toilet, and a pocket door instead of a swing door.

Often, if you tell us that you'd like to age in place, we'll reinforce the walls in key areas of the bathroom. You may not need grab bars at your current stage of life but during a renovation is when you can plan for your future needs. This way, when you DO need them they're easy to install and have been incorporated in an intuitive way.

This space didn't have the advantage of natural light so we incorporated a sun tunnel over the toilet that lets in so much light that they rarely have to turn the lights on during the day!
