The stone fireplace wall in the original family room was taking over the space. We removed the stone which decreased the depth of the wall dramatically and meant patching in hardwood salvaged from the mudroom. A new electric fireplace was installed with a gorgeous lime plaster mantel. The new custom millwork features touch-latch controls and a hidden channel for connecting hidden cords to the new Samsung frame TV and sound bar, effectively cleaning up unsightly cords. The formerly awkward window corner has been repurposed into a cozy reading nook complete with floating shelves. It’s now a bright, cozy, and more spacious family space!
